Matt & Marissa

Okay, so there is a pretty clear pattern that every single time I blog I start off with saying something like  "I know it's been awhile", which is a huge sign that I was just completely over booking myself. I couldn't do it all. I am so happy to see 2012 arrive because 2011 was just a little bit too crazy for my liking! Starting a new job after booking all of these fantastic weddings in preparation that I was not going to find a new job as quickly as I'd like, left me without any time for myself or the people that I really wanted to spend my time with. I was so lucky to be part of so many beautiful weddings and get a fabulous new job, however, it's very unfortunate that I am just now getting around to blog them...... Better late then never? I hope so! BUT, I am VERY happy to say that I am now feeling like I have my life back together and able to enjoy nights and weekends and life without having to plan every little thing I wanted to do in advance, to make sure it actually happened. My friends pretty much just stopped bothering to ask if I was around to hang out and for anyone who knows me.....not being around my friends or people I cared about, did not make me a very happy girl. I will be taking a few steps back from the amount of weddings that I do in 2012, but all the craziness from 2011 did leave me with some great experiences, with wonderful couples, who look absolutely FANTASTIC!

Exhibit A...Matt & Marissa.

Oddly enough, I photographed my childhood best friend's wedding, who to this day, is like a sister to me. Marissa and I have been friends, as we like to say, "from the womb". Our mom's were great friends when we were growing up, and after they both had a set of sons, they were a little daughter happy and dressed us like we were twins. As you will see below, Marissa is a dark haired, brown eyed italian beauty. Being italian was probably the only thing we had in common as far as looks go, but we walked around in matching overalls, leggings or bathing suits, complete with our pocket rocker's and barbie dolls. We had a blast and to this day, I am lucky to say that I have a friend that just knows it ALL. When Marissa met Matt, I knew they were a match-even though she tried to tell me they were "just friends". They had a very unique, beautiful and personalized wedding up in the Adirondack's in July and I just LOVE how their pictures came out, it was such an honor to be able to give this gift and be an even bigger part of their special day... Love you guys!
